Program Details

The Greenwood Institute will fund program staffing (Management, Execution and Administration), resources (material development, production, distribution, equipment, workspace) and related expeditures that support the development of tools & platforms which advance opportuities for new & existing journalists.

Grants $10,000 – $100,000

The Greenwood Institute, in partnership with The Oklahoma Eagle, has developed the program to foster the creation of tools and platforms which advance opportunities for new and existing journalists. As our goal is to effect specific outcomes and subsequently enhance the art and role of media and strategic communications current/future journalist globally we employ an innovative teaching modality.

The Greenwood Institute annually assess the program to ensure that curricula, staffing, resources and modality have been thoughtfully crafted to meet our goals, and scores them (programs) using the following criteria:

  • Staff experience; professional achievement; employment history, interpersonal skills evaluation; references and participant survey results

  • Breadth, depth and relevance of information being provided

  • Alignment of curriculum with new & existing professional opportunities and challenges

  • Course structure (class/group/cohort size, physical location, session and course duration & modality)

  • Potential community impact

  • Cost of all related aspects

  • Strategic opportunities

The Greenwood Institute requires, at minimum, periodic performance reporting from program administrators and participants. We are committed to aligning outcomes with specific program goals. All The Greenwood Institute program staff and participants are required to complete established feedback deliverables. Reporting is satisfied by leveraging digital survey and assessment tools.

A The Greenwood Institute Program Office has been established to ensure that all criteria are met regarding program development, execution and reporting. Reporting artifacts are archived and periodically reviewed as a part of our continuous improvement model. Digital copies of all program reporting artifacts will are recorded and archived.
